Privacy
What we store
- Your email address. Used to sign in and to send you the two kinds of message below. It is not shown to other users.
- Your display name. Shown to other users with your public designs.
- Your password, only in a scrambled (hashed) form. We cannot read it.
- Your designs, and a small preview picture of each.
- Background photos you add to a design. They are scaled down when you add them, stored apart from the drawing, and sent only to you.
- Which designs you opened recently and which you liked, to show your Recent list and the like counts.
- Sign-in records. A record that your browser is signed in, and for a short time the internet address that sign-in and sign-up attempts came from, to slow down password guessing.
- Web server logs. Like any website, the server keeps a log of requests: the time, the page and the internet address.
What is public
On a free account, every design you save and your display name are visible to anyone with an account, who can open and copy the design. Your email address is not, and neither are your background photos: the public preview picture of a design is drawn without its photo.
Email we send
Only two kinds, and only when asked for: a message to confirm your address when you create an account, and a message with a link when you ask to reset your password. No newsletters and no advertising.
Cookies and your browser
- One cookie keeps you signed in. It lasts 30 days or until you sign out.
- Your print and export settings, and whether the getting-started box is folded, are kept in your browser, not on our server.
- There are no advertising or tracking cookies and no analytics service.
Who we share it with
Nobody. We do not sell or give away your information. GlassDraft runs on our own servers, and its email goes out through our own mail server. We would hand over information only if the law required it.
Designs opened from your computer
When you open a file from your computer, it is read in your browser. It reaches our server only if you then save it.
Seeing, changing or removing your information
You can change or delete your designs yourself. To change your email address or display name, or to have your account and everything in it removed, write to support@glassdraft.com from the account's email address.
Children
GlassDraft is not for children under 13, and we do not knowingly keep information about them.
It is in beta
GlassDraft is test software. We look after what you store, but it could be lost. Keep your own copies.
