What GlassDraft is
GlassDraft is a website for drawing stained glass patterns. It is operated by HiTech Creations, Inc. ("we"). By creating an account or using the site you agree to these terms.
It is in beta
GlassDraft is test software. It is offered as it is, with no promise that it will work, stay available, or keep what you store in it. Your account and your designs could be lost at any time. Keep your own copy of anything you care about: use "Download a copy" when you save.
Your account
- You must be at least 13 years old.
- Use an email address that is yours. You confirm it before the account works.
- Keep your password to yourself. You are responsible for what is done with your account.
- One person, one free account.
Free accounts: your designs are public
This is the most important part.
- Every design you save on a free account is public. Anyone with an account can open it, copy it and change their copy. Your display name is shown with it.
- This includes designs you bring in from Glass Eye or from any other file. Once you save one here on a free account, it is a free public pattern.
- A background photo you add to a design is the exception: it is stored with your design but is private. Other people who open the design get the drawing without the photo. A free account can keep a photo in 5 designs.
- You keep ownership of your designs. By saving a design you give us permission to store it, show it and let other users open and copy it, and you give other users permission to use it and their copies of it to make their own work.
- Deleting a design moves it to your trash and takes it off the public list. Copies other people already saved stay theirs.
Only save what you have the right to share
- Do not save patterns from books, pattern sellers, other designers or software libraries (including the pattern library that comes with Glass Eye) unless you have the right to share them publicly.
- Do not save anything unlawful, hateful or obscene, and do not use the site to harass anyone.
- We may remove any design and close any account, at our choice, in particular when a design appears to be someone else's work.
If your work is here without your permission
If a design on GlassDraft copies your pattern, write to support@glassdraft.com with a link to or the name of the design, what it copies, and how to reach you. We will look at it and take it down if the complaint holds.
Other people's designs
Public designs are made by users. We do not check them, and we do not promise that a design is accurate, buildable, or free of someone else's rights. Use them at your own judgment.
What we are not responsible for
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for lost designs, lost time, wasted glass or other materials, or any other loss from using GlassDraft. Check the size of a printed pattern or a printed template before you cut glass to it.
Ending
You may stop using GlassDraft at any time. To have your account and designs removed, write to support@glassdraft.com from the account's email address.
